Video Encoding
The H.264 video encoder is capable of supporting resolutions up to 720p@60fps. The JPEG baseline variant supports picture sizes ranging from standard resolutions up to an impressive 8192x8192 pixels. The maximum supported input resolution is 4800x4800 pixels. This encoder supports a variety of input formats including YU12/YV12/NV12/NV21/YUYV/YVYU/UYVY/VYUY, all of which are widely used in modern digital imaging systems. Additionally, the use of alpha blending is supported, enabling seamless layer transitions and transparent overlays. Thumb generation is also supported, providing convenient preview options for large images. Furthermore, the encoder supports a wide range of scaling ratios (from 1/16 up to a scale factor of 64), accommodating any non-integer ratios for precise image resizing. The encoder also accepts images that have been rotated by any angle without compromising performance or quality.

The device incorporates anisotropic non-linear Bayer interpolation with false color suppression for sharp and noise-free images. Programmable color correction allows users to customize color settings according to specific needs. Advanced contrast enhancement and sharpening techniques ensure vivid details are preserved during video playback or still image capture. An advanced saturation adjustment feature provides precise control over the tonal range of images or videos. A sophisticated spatial (two-dimensional) de-noise filter minimizes random noise while preserving important image structures. The device includes advanced chrominance noise reduction techniques to maintain vibrant colors without introducing artifacts or blurring edges.
