Self-Introduction

Good morning, esteemed professors. I am happy to introduce myself as XXX; I am 21 years old and originally from Chongqing, a city renowned for its mountainous terrain. As an undergraduate student at UESTC, I specialize in computer science and hold the position of laboratory technician in our campus library.

Frankly speaking, I am neither exceptionally talented nor do I claim to be exceptionally gifted; however, I possess remarkable determination. Having clear objectives often enables me to channel all my efforts effectively towards achieving specific goals. Fortunately for me, such occasions do occur from time to time. When it comes to academic achievements or preparing for exams like the college entrance exam, my results consistently exceed what would typically be expected of someone of my ability level. My interest is listening to music; English songs are my absolute favorite.

During my college years, I annually won a scholarship in terms of my studies. Additionally, I achieved CET4 and CET6 certifications with scores exceeding five hundred points.

In recent years, my research focus has been on multi-view clustering techniques. Among various advanced clustering methods, my special emphasis has been on multi-view subspace clustering. Through extensive experimentation and algorithmic optimizations, we achieved notable success in our experiments. In July of this year, our collaborative effort resulted in a manuscript that has been accepted for publication in IEEE Transactions on Multimedia. Additionally, I am proud to announce that another manuscript has been accepted as the first author for a paper published in the Journal of Information Fusion.

Although it's true that I have just completed my basic understanding of computer science, I am genuinely eager to delve deeper into more specialized areas. Consequently, I express my sincere desire to access the chance to enroll in master’s programs at UESTC. This concludes my statement. Thank you for your attention.

     Where are you from?

位于中国西南部的重庆是我的家乡。长江和嘉陵江是两条著名的河流，在这里流过。

Some individuals mention that Chongqing has been built upon mountains. I concur with that. As a student, when traversing between dormitories and lecture halls during my academic years, it provided me with the sensation of engaging in ascension exercises.

当我们谈到食物时，火锅无疑是重庆地区最受欢迎的食物之一。它象征着重庆的特色风味——辛辣而鲜香的口感，在热辣中依然保持着嫩滑可口的特点。每当一对老朋友重逢时，在桌前必选的就是一道热气腾腾、独具特色的火锅菜肴。

我的优点/缺点

As detailed in my self-introduction, one of my strengths is that I strive to achieve my objectives. My major strength is being open-minded and laid-back. Now, I have become quite acquainted with the dedicated team members in the research lab.

I acknowledge that one of my primary deficiencies is poor communication skills. For instance, when preparing for a presentation, I often find that the pace of organizing my language falls short of keeping up with my thoughts. In order to publish a satisfactory article, it requires extensive planning and multiple revisions before I feel confident with the final outcome.

兴趣爱好

I am fond of listening to music. When I was a child, I particularly enjoyed listening to music, especially cartoon-themed ones. Starting from junior high school, I began to listen to English songs mainly because it could help me enhance my English proficiency.

Another hobby of mine is to watch some electronics product review videos. At intervals, numerous YouTubers will evaluate similar electronics and subsequently compare actual user experiences. By observing their content, I can stay informed about the latest developments in cutting-edge electronics annually.

Firstly, UESTC's computing power has established itself as a leader among universities across the nation. The second point is that I believe Chengdu has experienced significant growth over the years and our institution holds substantial growth prospects. At this juncture, I express a desire to work within the city's expanding framework and consider incorporating into the local development landscape by pursuing a master’s degree program in Chengdu, which represents an ideal opportunity for professional growth.
